Postal History 1891 (October), envelope with contents addressed to Worcester, Cape, bearing a single 1d carmine (SG 49a) tied by very fine strike of the Cape Town (14 Oct) truncated double circle datestamp (with ‘9’ for year). The reverse with Worcester (15 Oct) arrival and a large fancy advertisement for jams and confectionery struck in blue-green. A very clean and most attractive cover showing the 1d rate. |
