Revenue 1877 cheque for £27.6s drawn on the ‘Standard Bank of British South Africa, Limited’, endorsed at top ‘Willowmore’ and dated 4th July 1877 in manuscript. With a Willowmore / Cape Colony single circle datestamp without date or time-code, presumably applied when the cheque was cashed. Bearing a colourless oval embossed QV 1d ‘cheque stamp’ with very good embossing. Interesting use of the word ‘British’ in the bank name. Usual folds and filing holes.
