1964 30th July, stampless envelope endorsed ‘Pay forward Please’, machine canclled ‘RUSAPE’, addressed to Salisbury. Struck with black circular 17 / TO PAY’ and light violet circular cachets, latter endorsed ‘2d’. Then applied with strip of three 1/- overprinted dues (SG D7) cancelled ‘SALISBURY'. Most attractive.
Note: the address is the ‘I. C. S.’, International Correspondence School. The high rate of 3/- on this envelope would represent a pool charge for a number of underpaid items received at the same time. |
