ADMIRAL POSTAL STATIONERY
MA171
c1922 ? range of five impressions utilising the 'Admiral' head similar to the issued stamps although re-engraved, in a vertical format with a fancy turned design around. Comprising samples struck in claret, pale brown, deep green, deep yellow-brown and bright blue with fine diagonal lines running through. On thin card the reverse of which shows part design similar to that used for security printing. A most unusual group.

Note: the 'Admiral' image would suggest some association with the B.S.A.Company, possibly a trial for a revenue useage (cigarette tax ?)
