The reverse bearing a Southern Rhodesia 1932 Large Falls 2d green and chocolate (SG 29) also tied by a GONDOLA (28 Feb) datestamp. With a Travelling Post Office AMBULANCIA / BEIRA-UMTALI (1 Mar) double circle datestamp also on the reverse. A very attractive and RARE combination and TPO cover.

Note: Gondola is an intermediate stop on the railway line approximately midway between Beira and Umtali. The Beira and Mashonaland and Rhodesia Railways operated a T.P.O. on this part of the line until 1949, and letters bearing Rhodesian duties were not only accepted but also cancelled during this period.
