| 1898 (4th July), BSAC ‘Mashonaland’ 1½d International Post Card (H&G 6), addressed to Germany and uprated with the addition of an 1896 Large Arms 1d (SG 29) affixed at lower left. Both the impressed stamp and the adhesive are cancelled / tied by a ‘951’ BONC and there is a ‘proving’ GWELO (4 July) single circle datestamp alongside the upper BONC. Flensburg (1 Aug) arrival datestamps struck on the front. The card with some faults, primarily a heavy, though unobtrusive vertical crease, otherwise attractive. |
