Postal History 1887 (December), envelope addressed to Holland bearing a 2d pale bistre and 6d purple (SG 50, 52a) each tied by a ‘215’ BONC with a proving strike of MALMESBURY (5 Dec) single circle datestamp at left. With a large ‘2½d’ accountancy handstamp struck in red. Cape Town (5 Dec), Amsterdam (27 Dec) and Muiden (27 Dec) transit / arrival backstamps. A little roughly opened at top and small tear at foot, otherwise an attractive cover.
