| Postal History 1924 1st January, front only bearing KGV 1½d lower right corner block of six and 2d upper marginal pair both showing plate '1' in margin, crisply cancelled 'ASCENSION JA 1 24', addressed to England. The year 1924 must have been in error as this predates the date of issue, and bearing in mind that this was cancelled on New Year's day, presumably the official failed to change the year date slug to '25'. Attractive and unusual. |
