| 1943 16th July, long envelope (now opened out for display), bearing on front side Northern Rhodesia KGVI eight values ½d to 1/-, cancelled 'LIVINGSTONE'. Addressed and sent registered airmail to Johannesburg and struck with violet 'COUNTER DELIVERY' handstamp.The reverse side bearing Southern Rhodesia KGVI ½d to 6d plus 1/- and 2d and 3d large Falls, these cancelled 'VICTORIA FALLS' the same day. Endorsed in red ink on front 'Unable to effect delivery'. Most unusual. |
