Postal History 1880 (February), cover addressed to Cape Town. Bearing a single right marginal 4d blue surcharged ‘THREE PENCE’ in red (SG 34) with obliterating bar extending into the margin. Tied by a triangular COGH cancellation and a WELLINGTON STATION (25 Feb) single circle datestamp. With a lightly struck Cape Town arrival backstamp. Some buckling and the flap split, otherwise a very scarce and attractive single franking of this provisional adhesive.
