| Postal History / Postage Dues 1940 (12th September), cover addressed to Kitwe, bearing two KGVI ½d green (SG 25) tied by a CHINGOLA (12 Sep) double circle datestamp. The cover was taxed and bears a large ‘T1d’ in blue manuscript and a postage due 1d grey-black (SG D1) was affixed and tied by a KITWE (13 Sep) double circle datestamp, with an additional strike on the reverse. Edge tear at top from opening, otherwise a fine example of a domestic taxed cover. |
