| Postal History 1931 (July), incoming cover from Angola addressed to Windhoek. Franked 74c (12c x 2 and 50c) tied by Lobito (‘51’ (for 15 ?) Jul) double circle datestamps. Cape Town (25 Jul) transit backstamp. The cover was taxed and bears a ‘T’ in circle and a large ‘3d’ over which a SWA 3d postage due (SG D50) has been affixed and tied by a WINDHOEK COUNTER (30 Jul) double circle datestamp. Most unusual and a scarce example of mail from Angola. |
