| REVENUE 1937 (June), envelope sent airmail to England, bearing a postage 6d green and orange (SG 47) used together with a KGV 6d revenue stamp (dated ‘1936’), each tied by a ZWARTRUGGENS (11 Jun) double circle datestamp. Somewhat roughly opened at right and repaired (clear of adhesives). It is unclear if the revenue was inadvertently accepted and cancelled or if the 6d postage was sufficient and therefore redundant. Most unusual. |
