| 1940 21st September, cover bearing KGVI 1½d pair (SG 42), lightly cancelled 'BULAWAYO' datestamps addressed to the USA. Also with printed 'WE REALISE IN RHODESIA (etc.)' patriotic label at upper left. Then opened at right and resealed with plain cream tape handstamped in magenta 'OPENED BY CENSOR'. Apparently missent and receiving an American 'MISSENT TO WASHINGTON, CONN.' handstamp with relevant despatch strike. Fine and clean. |
