Bearing a King’s Head 1d rose-red and a 4d orange-yellow and olive-green (SG 4, 10) tied by TSUMEB / S.W. AFRICA (17 Feb) double circle datestamps with a further strike on the reverse. Showing an unusual large crude ‘R’ and ‘Tsumeb’ registration cachet struck in violet-black. The cover was censored and was resealed with two red on white ‘Geopend door Censor. / Opened by Censor. / 100’ labels affixed at top. |
