1878 4d pale blue. BLOCK OF 120, comprising the upper two panes of a sheet with margins on all four sides and showing current number ‘4’ at upper left and plate number ‘1’ at upper right. The two panes separated by an interpanneau gutter margin showing the characteristic wing margins of the Somerset House perforator (proving the earlier printing and colour). Odd minor gum wrinkle otherwise remarkably fresh with all stamps superb fresh unmounted mint. An attractive and very rare multiple, especially in such excellent condition. SG 18
