1900 subsequent printings (raised stops) 1d on 1d purple. Vertical interpanneau pair, the lower stamp with surcharge and the stamp above the gutter with the SURCHARGE OMITTED. Creased through the gutter and some gum wrinkles on upper stamp otherwise very fine mint. Very rare. SG 113 var
Note: it is believed the upper right pane of one sheet had the overprint omitted, giving rise to six possible vertical interpanneau pairs, two of which are in the Durrell collection and two from the right of the pane were previously sold by us. |
