| 1902 De La Rue ESSAY / DIE PROOF for the KEVII issue printed from the Secondary Die with uncleared value tablets and surround, and the lower tablet with the unissued wording ‘POSTAGE & REVENUE’. Printed in black on glazed card (92x60mm). Handstamped ‘BEFORE HARDENING’ in black and datestamped ‘13 MAY. 02’ in blue. This state shows the vertical lines at either end of the lower tablet now broken into dots.
