Printed Marconi ‘OCEAN LETTER’ envelope sent registered to Johannesburg and readdressed to Pretoria. Bearing a pair of KEVII 2½d (SG 142) tied by a REGISTERED / DURBAN S. AFRICA (17 Nov) double circle datestamp with a further strike on the reverse. Also with a Durban registration cachet at upper left. Vertical crease clear of the adhesives and flap rather roughly opened, otherwise very fine and most unusual. |
