| SOUTH AFRICA / Postage Dues 1982 (5th April), envelope addressed to Klerksdorp bearing a 5c ‘Protea’ (SG 418a) tied by a Potchefstroom (5 Apr) datestamp. The envelope received a circular ‘T’ taxe marking and the shortfall was receipted by a 6c chrome-yellow postage due (SG D78) which was affixed and tied by a Klerksdorp (8 Apr) datestamp. This postage due issue is very scarce on cover. SG note “The printing of Postage Due Stamps ceased in 1978. Isolated examples are known used as late as 1980.”
