1947 20th May, incoming Air Letter from Nairobi and addressed to The Postmaster General, Salisbury. Sent from the office of the P.M.G. there and in response to various queries raised at to the Postal Service in East Africa. In all eight points including no Airmail service to the Seychelles, to Italian Somaliland conveyed by R.A.F. service, to Madagascar, Mauritius and Reunion by Air France (once a week) and that the rate for air conveyance by them at 'Gold Francs 25.00 per kilo'. A fascination record of the time and a remarkable survivor.
