| Postal History (South African Occupation) 1919 (8th September), Union KGV 4d registered stationery envelope bearing single King's Head 1d rose-red (SG 4), cancelled with crisp 'TSES / S. W. AFRICA' sc datestamp, endorsed at left in pencil '124 / Tses' and addressed to Kimberley. Then applied with another King's Head 1d and cancelled 'KEETMANSHOOP' the following day. Further large purple 'PASSED CENSOR' cachet endorsed '23'. Most attractive and very unusual. |
