PIETERSBURG 1901 (7th April), registered envelope addressed to Leydsdorp. Bearing an imperforate example of all duties, ½d, 1d, 2d, 4d, 6d and 1/-, each tied by a neat PIETERSBURG (7 APR) double circle datestamp with a further strike at lower left. The 1d with constant variety No bar over lower right ‘1’ and the 2d with ‘AFB’ at right (SG 1, 4c, 7f, 11, 13, 16). The cover with odd stain and vertical folds, not affecting the adhesives. The flap with ZAR coat of arms in plain embossing on a green background. Rare.
