1966 Mardon definitive 10/-, trial printing on JH3 paper. Showing red mark in ‘D’ of ‘RHODESIA’ and ‘large brownish blot’ flaws (constant cyl 1A, rows 2/4, 4/4), both in a block of six. Superb unmounted. RARE in this format. SG unlisted (see footnote)
Note: the 'blot' flaw illustrates that in fact the trial JH3 paper printing was the first printing, as this flaw was retouched out for the JH4 printings |
