| REVENUE 1902 printed black on cream 'HUT TAX' receipt headed ‘BRITISH SOUTH AFRICA COMPANY / Administration of North Eastern Rhodesia’, with a large ‘1902’ printed in red. The receipt was made out to ‘Mwizikulu’ of ‘The London Missionary Society / Central Africa Mission’, with the latter handstamped in violet. An Arms 3/- stamp has been affixed and tied by a large ‘REVENUE / NORTH EASTERN / RHODESIA’ double circle handstamp. With facsimile signature of the Civil Commissioner handstamped in grey-black. A few vertical folds and some perimeter faults, otherwise very fine. Ex the collection of Joe Ross. |
