| Perforated plate proofs ex. the Waterlow archive, 2/6. Block of 20 being the upper two rows of the sheet, endorsed in ink in margin 'File Copy 14445', with gum and security punctures. Together with top portion of the original card folder from the Archive, noted as 'SR 17' and with typewritten details of the printing, dated between 12.6.44 and 14.6.44. References to wording, lay colour and plate as being correct. This printing for 120 000 stamps, 2000 pulls. A remarkable and important survivor for this issue. SG 51 plate proofs |
