| Perforated plate proofs ex. the Waterlow archive, 5/-. Block of 20 being the upper two rows of the sheet, endorsed in ink in margin 'File Copy 68351', without gum and security punctures. Together with top portion of the original card folder from the Archive, noted as 'SR 14' and with typewritten details of the printing, dated between 30.9.37 and 8.10.37. References to wording, lay colour and plate as being correct. This printing for 72 000 stamps, 1200 pulls. A remarkable and important survivor for this issue. SG 52 plate proofs |
