| 1897 Cape ½d yellow-green with lines of overprint 13½mm apart (lower line 15mm long). BLOCK OF 18 (6x3) comprising the upper three rows of an upper right pane with margins at left, top and right. All stamps in rows 2 and 3 show an albino overprint, inverted and reversed, with the word ‘British’ most prominent. Also shows to a lesser extent on row 1. Mounted in the margin only, the stamps are all superb unmounted mint. A very scarce multiple. SG 57 var (see SG footnote)
