1889 Cape of Good Hope ½d grey-black overprinted ‘British Bechuanaland’ in green. Showing the variety OVERPRINT DOUBLE, ONE VERTICAL. Some gum adherences and a little unfresh, otherwise fine mint. Scarce. SG 30c
Note: research by Brian Hurst indicates two half panes of 30 received the overprint double, one vertical. This stamp plates to row 3, column 4.
