c1922 ? impression utilising the 'Admiral' head similar to the issued stamps although re-engraved, in a vertical format with a fancy turned design around. Struck in pale brown, with fine diagonal lines running through. On thin card the reverse of which shows part design similar to that used for security printing.
Note: the 'Admiral' image would suggest some association with the B.S.A.Company, possibly a trial for a revenue useage (cigarette tax ?) |
