| KUT / Postage Dues. 1953 (12th February), underpaid envelope endorsed ‘BY AIR MAIL’ sent from Tanga to Dar es Salaam, bearing a KGVI 20c deep black and deep orange (SG 139ba) tied by a blurred Tanga (12 FE) double circle datestamp. The envelope was taxed and shows a boxed ‘T’ and manuscript ‘20c’ tax markings. The tax was receipted by a KUT 20c green postage due (SG D9) affixed to the reverse and tied by a DARESSALAAM / M.O. & S.B (13 FE) datestamp. |
