| POSTAL HISTORY 1950 24th June, printed OHMS cover bearing KGVI 3d (SG 53), cancelled blurred 'LAGOS' datestamp. Addressed to the USA and with original contents, being a typewritten note on headed paper advising of the regulations governing the prohibition of officers of the Administration affixing stamps to envelopes supplied by the public. The one by the sender being forwarded and remittance returned (Bureaucracy at its formidable best). This note pinned to the printed printed Post Office notice to this effect (P. & T. Acct. 97 / G.P., Lagos. 1937/39). Remarkable. |
