| 1960 (January), native cover bearing QEII 4d definitive (SG 5), apparently previously used and secured to the cover with brown wax(?), cancelled alongside 'QUE QUE 4 JAN 60' datestamp, addressed to Johannesburg. Struck with black circular '12 / TO PAY' local and then 'T 6D' receiving cachets. No further action taken with this cover, although bearing in mind addressed to a Mail Order Company, no doubt one of a number of such covers which would have had a pool charge applied. Most attractive. |
