| 1960 (5th January), native envelope bearing QEII ½d x two (SG 18), cancelled 'MWAMBO / 5 JAN 1960 / NYASALAND' datestamp, addressed to Johannesburg. Underpaid and upon arrival struck with black circular 'T4D' cachet. Although no further action taken, and bearing in mind the addressee, no doubt a large number of such underpaid envelopes would have been received and a pool charge applied to all. |
