BRITISH BECHUANALAND / Military Telegraphs Telegram 1889 (18th May), sent from the Postmaster at Taungs to the Postmaster General at Vryburg. The message is a response to a request for information from the PMG: “The extra runner is required to take six parcels lying here and any extra mail matter which may arrive Monday I propose sending him with the regular runner who will see the mail delivered safely I have succeeded in getting mounted trustworthy man for twenty shillings please instruct”. With VRYBURG BECHUANALAND (MY 18) single circle datestamp applied as delivering office. Some faults, mainly confined to the perimeter. Very scarce.
