| 1931 December, incoming black and white post card of 'The Machine' aeroplane (achieving the record speed of 386 mph), bearing GB KGV 2d, 6d and most unusually 1d coil leader, machine cancelled LONDON, addressed to Salisbury. Arrival strike dated 19th December with a further 'POSTE RESTANTE' for the 21st December. Most attractive and unusual. |
