POSTAL HISTORY
MC625
Postal History 1905 11th January, envelope bearing KEVII 1d's x three (SG 71), scored around in blue and struck at lower left with 'BLOEMHOF' datestamp. Obviously the use of Cape stamps in Transvaal disallowed, and struck with black 'T XXXVIII' cachet. Addressed to Tasmania and upon arrival further octagonal 'T 20' cachet and duly applied with 4d due, this pen cancelled. Filing spike though. A remarkable usage.
