| 1944 18th December, printed O.H.M.S. 'NOTICE OF ENLISTMENT FOR SERVICE IN THE ARMED FORCES OF THE COLONY' card, cancelled 'SALISBURY S.R' datestamp, and sent registered to Umtali. Apparently unknown and re-addressed , several oval violet cachets and forwarding strike. The addressee, one A. J. F. Thompson requested to report to Drill Hall, Umtali for part time service in the Armed Forces. Most unusual. |
