| 1937 12th May, envelope bearing KGVI Coronation ½d diagonally bisected block of four (1d rate, SG 71), cancelled 'JOHANNESBURG' locally addressed. The bisect disallowed, initially struck with circular 'T2D' cachet, this then overstrauck with 'T1D', another alongside. Duly applied with 1d due cancelled 14th May. Unusual and attractive. |
