BOOKLET 1913 KGV 2/6 black on bright red booklet, stapled at right. Complete with all six panes intact (two of the ½d and four of the 1d, all with watermark upright) and unwaxed interleaves. The staples may have been replaced (original staples often corrode and break). Two versions are recorded of this booklet, this was the first issued and can be identified by the back cover which shows the telegram rate for Rhodesia. This was replaced on the second version issued in 1917 with deposit details for the Post Office Savings Bank. An exceptionally rare booklet of which only two or three complete examples are believed to exist and seldom appear on the market. The SG catalogue only illustrates the later black on pink version (SG SB2a). Apparently no illustration of the first type was available. SG SB1 variant 1 / Union Handbook B1.
