GREAT BRITAIN / Stationery 1882 De La Rue die proof for the QV postal stationery wrapper ½d with uncleared surround. Printed in black on glazed card (92x60mm). Handstamped ‘BEFORE HARDENING’ in black and datestamped ‘14 MAY 82’ in blue.
Note: this design was used for British postal stationery wrappers, some of which were overprinted for use in British Bechuanaland and issued in 1888 and 1890.
