BECHUANALAND PROTECTORATE / Air Mail 1933 (20th June), envelope addressed to India and endorsed ‘CAIRO-CALCUTTA / First Through Flight [ Extension from Karachi ] by Imperial Airways and India Trans-Continental Airways’. Bearing KGV ‘Cattle and Baobab’ 1d, 4d and 1/- (SG 100, 103, 105) each tied by a neat LOBATSI (22 Jun) double circle datestamp. With a KARACHI-CALCUTTA / 7 JLY. 33 / FIRST / AIRMAIL illustrated boxed cachet struck at left with a further strike dated 8 JLY on the reverse, overstruck with a Calcutta arrival datestamp.
 
Note: connecting mail from South Africa left Cape Town on the 22nd June and was picked up in Cairo by the eastbound Imperial Airways service that left Croydon on the 1st July.
