| BECHUANALAND PROTECTORATE 1948 (3rd April), envelope addressed and sent registered to Cape Town. Bearing four examples of the KGVI 1½d dull blue (SG 120) tied or cancelled by GHANZI (3 Apr) double circle datestamps with a further strike on the reverse. With Ghanzi registration details added in manuscript. Gobabis (14 Apr) and Windhoek (15 Apr) transit backstamps, proving a postal route westward via South West Africa. Clean diagonal manufacturing paper crease, clear of the adhesives. Unusual. |
