| BECHUANALAND PROTECTORATE 1955 (3rd January), First Day of Issue envelope addressed and sent registered to Northern Rhodesia. Bearing the complete set of 11 stamps issued on this date (SG 143-153 less SG 146b, the 4d duty which was issued almost four years later on the 1st December 1958). All tied by LOBATSI (3 Jan) double circle datestamps with additional strikes on the reverse. With small Lobatsi boxed registration cachet struck in violet. Fine and scarce. |
