1918 (27th November), censored KGV 1d postal stationery envelope addressed and sent registered to France. Bearing eight KGV 1d rose-red (SG 4) all cancelled or tied by very fine DANNHAUSER (27 Nov) double circle datestamps with an additional strike on the reverse. With a Dannhauser boxed registration struck in violet and a circular ‘PASSED CENSOR C.3’ cachet struck in purple. Attractive.

Note: although the War ended over two weeks earlier, on the 11th November, it appears mail censorship was still in effect.
