| 1893 Cape 1d carmine-red with overprint (typeset) reading downwards. BLOCK OF 108, comprising the lower nine rows of the lower two panes (two blocks of 54 separated by the vertical interpanneau gutter). With lower margin showing plate number ‘7’ at base of each pane. The lower right stamp of the left pane showing the flaw Sliced ‘ch’ in ‘Bechuanaland’. Six stamps with hinge marks or light creasing, otherwise remarkably fresh unmounted mint. A scarce multiple.
