| STELLALAND / Revenue 1886 (11th June), portion of a document (149x126mm) bearing six examples of the 6d yellow-orange, each handstamped with ‘JPM’ monogram (upright) all tied by three superb strikes of the ‘Office of the Registrar of Deeds / 11 JUN 86 / VRYBURG / BRITISH BECHUANALAND’ struck in black and each bearing the distinctive signature of M.C. Genis. Two of the adhesives show a distinct downwards shift of the perforations. Most attractive. T&M ST.2n.1 |
