| 1899 (14th November), Anglo-Boer War censored envelope addressed to Cape Town ‘Via Delagoa Bay’ (Mozambique). Bearing a single 1d rose-red and green (SG 217) tied by a very fine PELGRIMSRUST Z.A.R. (14 Nov) double circle datestamp. Opened at left and resealed with ZAR black on pink censor label. Pretoria (17 and 18 Nov), Durban (28 Nov) transits and Cape Town (14 Dec) arrival backstamps. Vertical crease and a few peripheral faults, otherwise fine. |
