| 1906 (23rd October), envelope addressed to Switzerland bearing a single Cape of Good Hope KEVII ½d green (SG 70) tied by a MAFETENG (23 Oct) single circle datestamp with a second strike alongside. Cape Town (27 Oct) transit backstamp. The reverse also showing a fine ‘PARIS EV. MISSIONARY SOCIETY / Hermon. / BASUTOLAND' oval cachet. Small fault at top, otherwise a fine and scarce example of the unsealed open letter rate. |
