Postal History 1898 (6th September), envelope with large printed illustrated advertisement for ‘Jeyes’ Disinfectants’. Addressed to Worcester, Cape Colony and bearing a single “Hope Standing’ 1d carmine (SG 59a) tied by a G.P.O. CAPE TOWN (6 Sep) double circle datestamp. Worcester (7 Sep) arrival backstamp. A few edge faults including piece missing at upper right, clear of the adhesive. Advertising envelopes of the Cape appear to be very uncommon.
